Crazy Candace's Crocodile Tears
Candace Owens Claims She Was Charlie Kirk's Best Friend
Riddle me this: If Candace really was such a close friend of Charlie's, wouldn't she be speaking at his funeral?

Conservative commentator Candace Owens has been vocal about her deep friendship with the late Charlie Kirk, founder of Turning Point USA (TPUSA), following his assassination on September 10, 2025, at Utah Valley University. In emotional tributes across social media and her YouTube channel, Owens has described Kirk as her "brother" and "best friend," highlighting their decade-long personal and professional relationship. However, her claims have drawn scrutiny, with some questioning their closeness due to reported ideological differences, particularly on Israel, and others accusing her of leveraging Kirk’s death to push conspiracy theories.
The Basis of Owens’ Claim
Owens, 36, met Kirk in 2017 when she joined TPUSA as communications director, a role she held until 2019. In a 24-minute YouTube video titled "To My Friend, Charlie Kirk," posted on September 11, 2025, she recounted their first meeting: "I met him back in 2017, when Turning Point was this very young organization. Nobody knew who I was, nobody knew who Charlie Kirk was." She described being hired "on the spot" and traveling together to campuses across the U.S. and Canada for speeches, saying, "We were totally locked in." Owens emphasized personal moments, like introducing Kirk to Kanye West, listening to his song "Power" before events, and Kirk’s support during her engagement to George Farmer, noting his "warmth and humor" in private texts.
In an Instagram story and a Facebook post, Owens shared photos and videos spanning their friendship, tearfully calling Kirk a "visionary" and asserting, "Charlie and I were always laughing... he was my best friend and my brother."
She extended condolences to his wife, Erika Frantzve, and their two children, emphasizing that Kirk’s legacy should focus on his work, not his violent death. The tribute crashed her YouTube stream due to 150,000 concurrent viewers, with Owens recalling Kirk’s ambition despite his "ill-fitting suits" in TPUSA’s early days.
Their friendship persisted after Owens left TPUSA in 2019, following backlash over comments about Hitler during a London event. Kirk defended her publicly, and they continued collaborating on conservative causes, with Owens noting Kirk’s loyalty at "significant life moments" like her wedding.
While it's possible they were friends years ago, there is absolutely zero proof they had even spoken recently, and given Candace's disgraceful shift into rabid Jew hater, and Charlie's opposite views, it's not likely they were friends at all.
Owens’ tributes have been overshadowed by her claims that Kirk’s death was not random but tied to his evolving views on Israel. On her "Candace O Podcast" episode titled "They Are Lying About Charlie Kirk," posted September 13, 2025, she alleged Kirk faced "immense pressure" from billionaire Bill Ackman and others at a Hamptons lunch meeting weeks before his death. She claimed Ackman, upset over Kirk’s "rational thoughts about Israel," pressured him to visit the country and offered a "large sum of money" to align his views, hinting at a sinister plot. On X, she posted: "Charlie was fighting with some very powerful billionaires that he took money from over things he was discussing... The truth will be revealed. The messages will be leaked."
Ackman and Natasha Hausdorff, allegedly present at the meeting, denied the claims. Ackman called them "reckless and false," insisting he never threatened Kirk or offered money, while Hausdorff rejected the depiction of a hostile confrontation. Pastor Rob McCoy of Godspeak Cavalry Chapel, where Kirk worshipped, also rebuked Owens, calling her claims "conspiracy theories" and denying her assertion that Kirk was shifting from Protestantism to Catholicism, which she tied to his supposed Israel skepticism.
Critics argue Owens is exploiting Kirk’s death to push narratives, pointing to her history of controversial claims, like those about Brigitte Macron or the Stanford Prison Experiment. X posts from accounts like @TheMilkBarTV mock her as "unraveling" and shilling "cringe" merchandise, while @TCNetwork notes her strained ties with former Daily Wire colleagues like Michael Knowles.
Why the Claim? Friendship, Ideology, or Opportunism?
Owens’ insistence on their closeness counters speculation of a falling-out over Israel, where Kirk was a staunch supporter, organizing pro-Israel TPUSA events, while Owens has spread vicious antisemitic tropes, which grow more ridiculous by the month. Her tribute video aimed to "quiet the suspicions" of a rift, emphasizing their bond to reclaim Kirk’s legacy as aligned with her views. However, her conspiracy claims, amplified to her 5 million X followers, suggest a motive to bolster her platform, which has grown since leaving The Daily Wire in 2024 over similar Israel-related tensions.
Kirk’s death by Tyler Robinson, a 22-year-old with no clear political motive, remains under FBI investigation, with no evidence supporting Owens’ allegations. Her claims risk alienating Kirk’s base, as TPUSA vows to continue his mission, with Frantzve raising $4 million for the organization.
Eric Bolling, TPUSA board member, says Charlie Kirk quietly cut ties with Candace Owens after she veered into conspiracy theories. They haven’t spoken in years, and Charlie unfollowed her on X. (Open Source Intel)
