President Donald Trump stated during remarks to reporters that he received a firm update indicating the killing of protesters in Iran has ceased and no further executions are planned. "We were informed, and we will soon verify what this means, that the killing in Iran has stopped and there are no plans for executions. We will check this, and I am sure if it happens we will be very angry," he said, repeating that he had just learned the killings and executions had been halted with no more scheduled.

Trump noted Iran had intended to carry out executions of detained demonstrators that day but ultimately refrained. "If it happens, we will all be very angry," he warned, adding he hoped the information from an important source on the other side proved accurate. Earlier in a CBS interview, Trump reiterated that help is on the way for Iranians, including economic support, and emphasized the US had rendered Iran's nuclear capability inoperable.

He described the death toll as quite large and predicted major trouble for the regime, confirming that mass killings would cross a red line triggering strong US measures. Trump framed the goal as victory, citing past successes like the elimination of al-Baghdadi and Soleimani, and the recent capture of Venezuela's Maduro. The announcement came amid ongoing White House assessments and raised hopes that international pressure might be forcing a temporary de-escalation in the crackdown.
