According to sources familiar with the situation, the Senator's comments reflect a growing discomfort within the U.S. administration regarding the extensive scope of recent Israeli strikes on Iran's energy infrastructure. Specifically, officials have pointed to a recent attack that hit approximately 30 oil storage tanks as a point of contention.

A source told i24NEWS, “We were surprised, not by the attack itself, but by the high number of tanks that were hit.”
