Iran is reportedly turning Kharg Island into a fortified fortress with traps and elite units as intelligence suggests an imminent American ground operation to seize the oil hub.

As the maritime war reaches a boiling point, intelligence reports from CNN indicate that the Iranian regime is feverishly preparing for a potential American ground invasion of Kharg Island. This strategic landmass, which serves as the primary terminal for Iran’s oil exports, is being transformed into a lethal combat zone. The Iranian military has reportedly deployed specialized units, advanced air defense systems, and a series of sophisticated "booby traps" across the island to repel any attempt by U.S. special forces or Marines to seize control of the facility.

The Fortification of Kharg

The preparations on the island suggest that Tehran views Kharg as its last remaining economic lifeline and a critical piece of leverage in the ongoing war. According to Israeli security sources, the regime has moved shoulder-fired missiles and swarms of suicide drones to the island, specifically aimed at inflicting high casualties on American personnel. There is a deep concern among military analysts that an assault on the island could lead to a "meat grinder" scenario, where U.S. troops are forced to navigate minefields and hidden traps while under constant drone fire.

The move to fortify Kharg comes as the regime also faces pressure on the mainland, with reports of airstrikes hitting Mashhad and its strategic airport on Wednesday evening. By turning Kharg Island into a "death trap," the IRGC hopes to deter an American takeover that would permanently strip the regime of its ability to fund its proxy networks. However, as the U.S. and Israel continue to systematically dismantle the Iranian industrial base, the island may soon find itself isolated from the mainland command, leaving the newly deployed units to face the full weight of the world's most powerful military alone.
