Reports: Attempted Takeover of a Ship Near the Coast of Yemen

The British Shipping Authority and international media organizations report another attempt to take over a cargo ship near the coast of Yemen, the Shipping Authority issued a travel warning in the Red Sea.

Several reports in the international media point to another attempted takeover of a ship in the Red Sea, about 17 nautical miles off the coast of Aden in Yemen.

The British Maritime Trade Authority has published a notice about a maritime incident near the coast of Yemen, according to reports a warning call was received from a merchant ship in the Red Sea route, about 20 kilometers off the coast of the city of Aden in Yemen.

Additional sources report an attempt to take over a cargo ship sailing in the Red Sea near the coast of Yemen. The British Shipping Authority has issued a severe warning to ships in the area and called for crews to be alert and cautious while sailing in the Red Sea areas, especially in the vicinity of the Gulf of Aden and the coast of Yemen.

The attempted takeover comes a few hours after the American announcement of the establishment of an international coalition to fight the Houthis' attempts to harm the freedom of international trade.
