President Donald Trump is safe but the american media sounsd the alarm. This alarming event is the third major assassination attempt against Trump in less than two years.

A history of violence

The first major incident occurred in July 2024 at a campaign rally in Butler, Pennsylvania. During that event, a gunman fired shots from a nearby rooftop, injuring the President's ear before being neutralized by Secret Service snipers.

Just two months later, in September 2024, another armed man was spotted hiding in the bushes at Trump's golf course in Florida.

That suspect, Ryan Routh, was recently sentenced to life in prison for his premeditated plot to kill the commander and chief.

Authorities identified the suspect in this latest attack as 31-year-old Cole Tomas Allen from California. Security personnel apprehended Allen near the metal detectors after he reportedly rushed past a checkpoint with multiple weapons.

The FBI and Secret Service are currently investigating how the suspect was able to bring firearms and knives so close to the high-profile event.

Law enforcement officials confirmed today that the shooter was caught and remains in custody. During his initial interrogation, the suspect admitted his intention was to harm President Trump and senior members of his administration who were attending the Correspondents dinner at the White House.
