The U.S. Embassy in Riyadh, together with the State Department, has issued a severe travel advisory for Saudi Arabia and its surrounding region in response to the ongoing conflict with the Houthis.
The embassy announced that the threat level in the country has risen significantly in recent days, reaching a point where American citizens are advised against traveling to the kingdom or remaining there unless absolutely necessary.
The State Department urged travelers to "reconsider plans if your destination is Saudi Arabia." Officials explained that "the danger from missile attacks, suicide drones, or attempts to target American citizens or facilities is particularly high."
According to sources, the threat level at the embassy itself has been elevated to 'Level 3,' with enhanced security measures and a reduced diplomatic staff presence.
