Susie Wiles, President Donald Trump's White House chief of staff, announced on Wednesday via social media that she is cancer-free. The announcement comes approximately six months after she was diagnosed with early-stage gynecological cancer.

Wiles, considered one of the most central and influential figures on the president's team, chose to battle the disease while continuing her work at the White House. Throughout the treatment period, she maintained her duties as chief of staff while receiving professional medical care.

At the time of diagnosis, President Trump issued a public statement addressing Wiles's medical condition. "Unfortunately, she was diagnosed with early-stage cancer and decided to tackle this challenge immediately, rather than wait," Trump wrote.

The president emphasized that her medical condition was encouraging and that she was receiving care from a professional medical team. "She has an excellent medical team and her medical prognosis is excellent," he stated. According to Trump, "During the treatment period, she will actually spend almost all of her time at the White House, which makes me very happy as president."

Wiles earned considerable respect among White House staff for continuing in her challenging role while undergoing medical treatments. The president described her as "one of my closest and most important advisors" and as "a strong person deeply committed to serving the people."
