The White House's Leading Isolationist

Over recent months, Vance has expressed direct and often harsh criticism toward Israeli military actions during the war, as well as against prominent figures within the Israeli government itself.

Viewed as the leading isolationist voice in the administration, Vance opposed entering a war with Iran from the start and pushed significantly for a diplomatic resolution.

Vance previously led the US negotiation team with Tehran, personally engaging in direct dialogue with Iranian officials in attempts to bring an end to the conflict.

Diplomatic Traps and Oval Office Confrontations

The Vice President has also demonstrated a willingness to take aggressive diplomatic action. During Volodymyr Zelenskyy's first White House visit under the current Trump presidency, Vance and Trump orchestrated what was described as a carefully planned political ambush.

The leaders publicly berated the Ukrainian president and ultimately dismissed him from the Oval Office in full view of international media cameras.

Now, questions linger as to whether Netanyahu is walking into a similar diplomatic trap. Reports over recent weeks pointed to reluctance among certain White House officials to allow a meeting with Netanyahu, alongside active efforts by Vance to partition access between the two leaders.
