Fighters from the Carmeli Brigade have sent a strongly worded letter to their commanders, expressing frustration over ongoing ceasefires and a recent deal with Hamas.

In their letter, which was revealed by 'Kan News', the soldiers criticized the handling of the conflict and voiced concerns that their efforts on the battlefield were not leading to a decisive victory.

“We do not want to be cannon fodder for surrender deals,” the soldiers wrote. “How can we be motivated to return to battle and risk our lives on land that will be handed back to our enemies in a matter of days? Our families should not have to receive us either wounded or in coffins, only for our sacrifices to be used as leverage in prisoner exchanges that free terrorists.”

The fighters emphasized that they were willing to continue fighting and making sacrifices, but only if the objective was a clear and decisive victory over Hamas. “We are ready to stand, fight, and risk everything as long as we know with certainty that our mission is to defeat and overcome the enemy,” they stated.

They concluded their letter with a firm stance: “There is no moral justification for sending us to risk our lives on land that will ultimately be handed back to the enemy.”

The letter has sparked significant discussions within the military and political spheres, with growing concerns over the morale of IDF forces engaged in the prolonged campaign in Gaza.
