Ted Cruz Predicts "Historic" Collapse of Iranian Regime Within 6 Months
The Texas Senator says the end of the Ayatollah’s rule is imminent, a move that would cut off 90% of Hamas and Hezbollah's funding overnight
The world may be on the brink of a geopolitical shift as significant as the fall of the Soviet Union, according to Senator Ted Cruz (R-Texas).
In a stunning prediction made on Sunday Morning Futures with Maria Bartiromo, Cruz stated that the Iranian regime, the world's leading state sponsor of terror, could collapse within the next six months.
"Extraordinary Times" Cruz argued that the unrest currently gripping Iran is not an isolated event but part of a wave of global change that could see three major anti-American regimes fall in rapid succession: Iran, Venezuela, and Cuba.
"There is a very real possibility that in the next six months the regimes in Iran, in Venezuela, and Cuba will all fall," Cruz said. He suggested that instead of fomenting violence and chanting "Death to America," these nations could soon "democratically elect new leaders who embrace freedom."
Choking Off Terror Funding For Israel and the Middle East, the implications would be immediate and massive. Cruz reminded viewers that Tehran is the financial engine behind the region's deadliest terror groups.
"90 percent of the funding of Hamas comes from Iran, 90 percent of the funding for Hezbollah comes from Iran," Cruz noted.
If the Ayatollah’s regime falls, the money pipeline fueling attacks on Israel would effectively be severed.
Trump’s "Maximum Pressure" Senator Cruz credited President Trump’s intensified pressure campaign for bringing the Iranian regime to its breaking point. He highlighted Trump's recent unequivocal call for the end of the Ayatollah's "religious dictatorship" and his decision to strike Iran’s nuclear facilities, a move Cruz called the "most consequential foreign policy move" of Trump's second term.
Cruz contrasted this with the Obama administration’s response to the 2009 Green Revolution, arguing that the U.S. squandered a chance to support the Iranian people then. This time, Cruz says, the message is clear: the U.S. will not tolerate a nuclear-armed theocracy.
A "Berlin Wall" Moment? If Cruz’s prediction holds true, he believes the impact will be comparable to the end of the Cold War.
"It is difficult to think of anything more consequential," Cruz said, envisioning a near future where the primary drivers of global terror are replaced by allies of the free world.
