Dave Smith Gets a Brutal Red Pill: No Amount of Israel-Bashing Buys You Love from Neo-Nazis

Dave Smith is learning what should have been obvious — cozying up to neo-Nazis and their fellow travelers doesn’t earn you a seat at the table. It just gets you called a “Jew” behind your back while they smile for the podcast.

Libertarian comedian and podcaster Dave Smith is discovering the hard way that licking the boots of the “dissident right,” groypers, and outright neo-Nazis doesn’t purchase immunity from their racial purity tests.

Despite years of fierce anti-Israel rhetoric, platforming Nick Fuentes, pushing Great Replacement narratives, and cozying up to some of the edgiest voices in the movement, Smith’s Jewish heritage, real, documented, and openly discussed, is still enough to keep him on their blacklist.

Smith was raised in Brooklyn by a single mother. His maternal grandmother survived the Holocaust. His grandfather was a Jewish refugee from Nazi Germany who later fought in the U.S. Army during World War II. None of that history matters to the hardcore crowd. To them, blood is blood. A “good one” is still a Jew.

The same circles Smith has courted now openly mock him as a subversive plant, question whether he’s “really” Jewish, or sneer that his anti-Zionist stance is just controlled opposition. Loyalty? Forgotten. Principles? Irrelevant. The moment ancestry enters the chat, the mask slips and the knives come out.

This is the inevitable endpoint of identity-obsessed politics on the fringe right: even when you bend the knee, denounce Israel louder than anyone, and deliver “based” takes on command, you’re still suspect if your last name or bloodline doesn’t pass their purity test.

Smith built a career railing against collectivism, tribalism, and state power, yet found himself shocked that the same tribalists he flirted with would eventually turn on him for the ultimate sin in their eyes: existing while Jewish.

Welcome to the dissident right, Dave. The loyalty you thought you bought was never for sale. It was always conditional and you failed the test the day you were born.
