In what historians are already calling “the most confusing timeline since the actual World War II,” Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN) has bravely ventured where no elected official has gone before: straight past World War II… and into World War Eleven.
During a passionate speech railing against the Alien Enemies Act of 1798, Omar dropped this absolute gem while reading from her notes:
“The last time the Alien Enemies Act was invoked… it was used during World War Eleven.”
Yes, you read that correctly. Not two. Eleven. As if FDR was out there fighting Kaiser Wilhelm, Hitler, and some secret boss level with alien invaders.
She caught herself half a second later and mumbled “two,” but by then the internet had already screenshot, clipped, and memed it into the stratosphere. The damage was done. World War Eleven is now canon.
