Ashkelon: A car explosion kills a 20-year old woman

A 20-year-old woman was killed and a 5-year-old girl was seriously injured, in the crime-related incident.

A Magen David Adom (MDA) spokeswoman stated that at 4:12 p.m today (Tuesday), a report was received in the Lachish region about a vehicle on fire on Breichat Yam Street in Ashkelon and that a woman was trapped in the vehicle.

It was later reported by Ichud Hatzalah that as a result of the vehicle catching fire, a young woman was killed, and a young girl was in critical condition.

Menachem Belalou, a medic and head of the Ashkelon branch of Ichud Hatzala, said: "We received a report of a vehicle on fire. We provided medical aid at the scene to a 5-year-old girl in critical condition and a moderately injured 40-year-old. Unfortunately, a 20-year-old woman was pronounced dead due to the nature of the injuries and the severe burns she suffered."
