"Don’t Sink with Khamenei": The Crown Prince’s Dramatic Message to Iran’s Generals

Reza Pahlavi, the son of the exiled Shah, has called on Iranian military commanders to abandon the Supreme Leader’s "broken ship" and join the growing revolution before it is too late.

As the Iranian regime prepares for a possible war with the United States, it is facing a domestic crisis that could be just as lethal as an American bomb. Reza Pahlavi, the son of the former Shah and a leading figure in the exile community, has issued a direct and urgent appeal to the commanders of the Iranian military and law enforcement. With the threat of foreign intervention at an all-time high, Pahlavi warned that the "window of opportunity" is rapidly closing for those who wish to separate themselves from the crimes of the Islamic Republic. His message, which has been widely shared across opposition social media channels, frames the current government as a "broken ship" and urges the nation’s soldiers to save their lives and their families by joining the side of the people before the regime is swept away.

The Call for Defection

Pahlavi’s ultimatum is specifically targeted at commanders whose hands are not yet "stained with the blood of the nation." He argued that the choice is simple: stay loyal to a dying regime and sink with Ali Khamenei, or protect the Iranian people and share in the victory of a new nation. "The choice is in your hands: save your lives and the lives of your families by joining the people and participating in the victory of the nation, or tie your fate to the broken ship of the Islamic Republic and sink with Khamenei and his regime," Pahlavi stated. This call for defection comes at a time of extreme vulnerability for the regime, as it struggles to maintain control over its own security forces while simultaneously preparing for a regional war.

Chants for the Shah in Tehran

The message from the exiled prince appears to be resonating on the ground. For three consecutive days, students at major universities in Tehran have taken to the streets, tearing down pictures of regime "martyrs" and chanting slogans in favor of the monarchy's return. At Amir Kabir University and the women-only Al-Zahra University, protesters have been heard shouting, "The Shah is coming back to his country, the students are right behind him." Some students have even gone as far as burning the flag of the Islamic Republic, a crime that usually carries a death sentence. While the regime appears to be allowing some "steam to be released" during these protests, the open support for Pahlavi suggests that the internal rot described by former IAF chief Eitan Ben Eliyahu is deeper than the mullahs care to admit.
