Mossad Blows the Lid Off IRGC ‘Assassination Apparatus’

In a dramatic joint revelation Monday morning, Israel’s Mossad, Shin Bet, and the IDF unmasked the inner workings of a clandestine Revolutionary Guard (IRGC) mechanism. The network, operating under a heavy veil of secrecy, aimed to strike Israeli officials, strategic infrastructure, and Jewish religious institutions in Azerbaijan.
The Plot: Explosive Drones and Strategic Sabotage
Several weeks ago, security forces thwarted a sophisticated terror infrastructure in Azerbaijan. The cell’s primary objective was to sabotage the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan (BTC) oil pipeline, a critical strategic energy artery running from Georgia to Turkey.

The operatives were captured by Azerbaijani authorities in possession of explosive drones and fragmentation charges smuggled into the country. Prior to their arrest, the cell members conducted physical surveillance and gathered intelligence on their targets under direct instruction from Tehran.
"Operation Lion’s Roar": Eliminating the Masterminds
The exposure of this network follows a string of targeted strikes during the IDF’s "Operation Lion’s Roar," which decimated the leadership of this secret apparatus.
The Mossad identified the head of this clandestine mechanism as Rahman Moqadem, who also led the Special Operations Division (Unit 4000) of the IRGC Intelligence Organization. Moqadem, responsible for orchestrating terror strikes globally and smuggling advanced weaponry into Israel, was eliminated by an Israeli airstrike early in the operation.
His superior, Majid Khademi, the head of IRGC Intelligence, was also liquidated by the IDF during the same campaign.
