Shas chairman Aryeh Deri issued an urgent call to right-wing voters after casting his own ballot, warning that turnout is expected to be very high in left-wing strongholds and the Arab sector.
Deri: High turnout in left strongholds
Shas chairman after casting his ballot: A dangerous situation for Judaism. There is an expectation of very high turnout in left-wing strongholds and the Arab sector

"Baruch Hashem, we merited to fulfill a mitzvah and to listen to the words of the chachamim," Deri said in a statement. "I am calling on everyone to hurry, to vote and to make an impact. There is a real battle here over Judaism, over Torah, and above all over obedience to daas Torah."
"I am asking everyone, without exception, to go out immediately and vote. This is truly a situation of danger to Judaism. All the gedolei Yisrael are crying and pleading," he added.
Deri pointed to intelligence suggesting exceptionally high participation among opposition voters. "There is an expectation of very high turnout in left-wing strongholds and in the Arab sector. Tens of thousands have arrived from abroad in order to vote, to bring down the government and to harm Torah. Therefore, we must do everything to strengthen. Each person should do his part."
