Call from the Committee of Yeshivas to the students of the ultra-Orthodox yeshivas: Report for the first draft notice. Following the expiration of the Conscription Law last month and the lack of regulation of the status of yeshiva students, guidelines were published by the Committee of Yeshivas for all students of the ultra-Orthodox yeshivas, in which students aged 16 and a half are asked to report for the first draft notice.
In the letter sent to the heads of the yeshivas, it is stated: "As is known, we are currently in a transitional period regarding the status of those engaged in the sacred study of Torah, and after reaching clear conclusions and receiving their final approval from the relevant authorities, clear guidelines will be sent to the yeshivas.
"However, especially during this sensitive period, as mentioned, when the guidelines have not been fully clarified as required, it imposes an obligation on the yeshiva students to act with utmost diligence, maximum responsibility, and scrupulous adherence to basic principles in order to maintain their recognition as a yeshiva student whose Torah study is his craft, encompassing all that it implies."
