"Sickening and shameful": Australian doctors under investigation for threatening Israeli patients 

In light of the Tiktok video which sufaced yesterday (Tuesday), in which two doctors in a Sydney hosptial admitted to killing Israeli patients, New South Wales Health Minister Ryan Park described the behaviour as "despicable, disgusting and shocking".

In addition to the immediate suspension, the minister announced that subject to the investigation, the two would never be allowed to work in hospitals in the country again. "I want to assure the Jewish community that the treatment you receive in our hospitals will continue to be at the highest level," he stressed.

Health Secretary Susan Pierce was moved to tears during the press conference: "I never dreamed that I would be standing here because of two staff members who expressed such terrible feelings for our community, and especially for the Jewish community."

Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese condemned the video as "sickening and shameful." The federal health minister and the interior minister issued a joint statement calling the video "as chilling as it is despicable."

Police and the New South Wales Health Ombudsman have launched an investigation. An initial investigation found no evidence of harm to Israeli patients in the past year, but a comprehensive investigation will continue to ensure that there were no further incidents.
