The IDF notified northern municipalities Thursday evening that it will carry out a series of strikes and planned detonations along the Lebanon front in the coming hours. As a result of the military activity, the sounds of powerful explosions may be heard across wide areas of northern Israel.
A message sent to residents by the Upper Galilee Regional Council's security department stated: "In the coming hours, the IDF will conduct a series of strikes and planned detonations on the Lebanon front."
The alert clarified that the sounds of the explosions will not be limited to areas immediately adjacent to the Lebanese border, but may be heard throughout the entire northern region. Areas specifically mentioned in the notice include the central Upper Galilee, the Ramim Ridge, the Hula Valley, and the Golan Heights.
Alongside the advance warning about the explosion sounds, residents were informed that as of now there is no change to public safety guidelines. The message was intended to provide advance notice to area residents about the expected military activity and the possibility that explosion sounds will be heard across the region.
