The Israeli military escalated its offensive across the Gaza Strip over the past 24 hours, reporting that the Israeli Air Force (IAF) struck approximately 140 targets, supporting three Israel Defense Forces (IDF) divisions pressing into Gaza City. The targets included buildings utilized by terror groups and operatives, among other military infrastructure.

Air and Ground Operations Converge in Gaza City

Ground troops continue their push into Gaza City, focusing on consolidating operational control while eliminating Hamas cells. The IDF stated that the 98th Division has "deepened their operational control" in the city, directing targeted strikes against Hamas sites and operatives throughout the day.

In one engagement in Gaza City, troops from the Golani Brigade came under attack by a cell of five Hamas terrorists who launched RPGs at a building occupied by the forces. The IDF confirmed that no injuries were sustained, and the troops successfully directed a drone strike to kill the gunmen.

Southern Gaza Infrastructure Targeted

Meanwhile, in the southern part of the Strip, the military reported that forces from the Gaza Division killed additional terror operatives and destroyed key Hamas infrastructure, including surveillance equipment essential to the group's intelligence gathering and operational planning.

The escalation in strikes comes as the Hamas-run health ministry in Gaza reported yesterday that 77 Palestinians had been confirmed dead by Israeli fire during the preceding 24-hour period.
