The Israeli Air Force (IAF) is reportedly carrying out airstrikes on targets in Sanaa, the Houthi-held capital of Yemen, according to local media.

Until this moment, the Air Force carried out 13 strikes targeting Houthi military facilities in the Sab‘ein district near the presidential palace, as well as in the “Bab al-Yemen” neighborhood (central Sana’a).

The strikes come in direct response to a drone attack on the Israeli city of Eilat yesterday, which wounded approximately 20 people.

Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz declared,

"We have just delivered a powerful strike on numerous terrorist targets of the Houthi terrorist organization in Sana'a as part of Operation 'Passing Package'."

The Air Force aircraft attacked several military camps, including a camp of the Houthi General Staff, eliminated dozens of Houthi terrorists, and destroyed stockpiles of UAVs and ammunition.

This action marks a significant escalation in the ongoing tensions, as Israel directly retaliates for the Houthi drone strike, which resulted in two serious injuries.

The strikes reportedly began as Houthi leader Abdul-Malik al-Houthi was in the middle of his weekly address.

The military camps that were attacked are used by the terror regime to store weapons and to plan and carry out terror plots against the State of Israel.

According to a security official, the Israeli Air Force dropped approximately 65 munitions on Houthi targets in Yemen, with more than 15 aircraft participating in the operation.
