Scandal: Terrorists Are Becoming Millionaires, And Israel Is Footing the Bill

Israeli FM Sa'ar reveals PA's covert payments to terrorists through postal branches, with released militants becoming millionaires through accumulated stipends funded partly by Israeli taxes.

Israeli Foreign Minister Gideon Sa'ar today forcefully accused the Palestinian Authority (PA) of rewarding terrorists with vast wealth through continued salary payments, and sharply criticized the European Union for "whitewashing" what he called the PA's "crimes."

Speaking alongside his Hungarian counterpart in Budapest, Sa'ar claimed the PA now funnels the salary payments, including those going to Hamas operatives and terrorists released in the latest deal, through Palestinian postal branches to bypass scrutiny.

Israel's Role in Funding

The Foreign Minister’s claims were substantiated by analyst Lt. Col. (res.) Maurice Hirsch, who revealed that approximately 160 of the 250 terrorists released in the recent ceasefire agreement have become millionaires due to years of accumulated monthly stipends.

Hirsch emphasized the financial paradox, stating:

"Out of every 100 shekels the PA pays terrorists, 65 come from us, from the VAT and income taxes we transfer to the PA... We are literally funding the murder of our children."

Condemning the European Union

Sa'ar directed his sharpest criticism toward the European Union, arguing that its continued support for the PA effectively rewards terror.

"The EU ignores the ongoing crimes of paying terrorists – and in practice encourages terror," Sa'ar said. He urged European leaders to follow the example of Hungary and hold the PA accountable by demanding an immediate halt to the payments, which violate prerequisites for legitimacy set out in the Trump-era peace plan.

Finally, Sa'ar added that Hamas is committing a "barbaric" violation of the current agreement by delaying the return of the remaining 13 deceased Israeli hostages, a tactic he said is intended to "postpone the second phase – its disarmament."
