Saudi state television released new security camera footage overnight Sunday showing the moment Houthi missiles struck the King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh on Saturday. The video captures the impact inside the passenger terminal as the Iranian-backed Yemeni militia's attack hit the civilian facility.

The strike killed twelve people and wounded 309. Among the dead: one American citizen, four Saudis, and eight foreign nationals from various countries. US Secretary of State Marco Rubio confirmed the American's death and strongly condemned the attack.

According to Saudi Arabia's civil aviation authority, the strike hit the area between Terminals 3 and 4, which serve domestic flights. Footage circulating online shows thick smoke and flames inside the airport complex, illustrating the force of the impact on a facility that serves thousands of passengers daily.

Operations at the airport were suspended following the attack, forcing airlines to cancel flights or revise schedules. Saudi authorities said extensive property damage was caused, with the full scope still under assessment.

Prime Minister Netanyahu sent an unusual message of condolence to the victims' families, a rare step toward a country with which Israel has no diplomatic relations. The statement read: "I condemn in the strongest terms the horrific terror attack at King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, which claimed the lives of 12 innocent people and wounded hundreds more."

American officials reportedly discussed the possibility of Israel striking the Houthis in Yemen with IDF Chief of Staff Eyal Zamir

Zamir warned in response that Israeli action could widen the conflict, trigger a response from Iran, and even lead to postponement of Israel's elections, scheduled for October 27.
