Mohsen Rezaei, secretary of Iran's Supreme National Security Council, confirmed Sunday evening that Tehran has rejected Washington's latest proposal in negotiations over reopening the Strait of Hormuz.

"About two weeks ago, we conveyed seven conditions to the Americans and made it explicitly clear that as long as these conditions are not met, the Strait of Hormuz will not be opened to them and there will be no negotiations," Rezaei said. "Now the Americans have responded to our conditions."

"While the Americans agreed to some of our seven conditions, other issues remain unanswered," he added. "Their response is insufficient. They must clarify the issues that remain unclear to us."

Rezaei concluded his remarks with a fresh threat directed at US President Donald Trump, warning that "in the next war, we will destroy all the global data centers and artificial intelligence facilities located in the Gulf states." The content of the threat is not coincidental, it comes after Trump has posted extensively in recent weeks about artificial intelligence, following the White House's launch of its new AI program.
