IDF intercepts target over south Lebanon

The military says an interceptor was fired at a suspicious aerial target detected in the area where forces are operating in southern Lebanon. Results of the interception are under review.

Interception in Israeli airspace

The IDF fired an interceptor Sunday at a suspicious aerial target detected in the area where Israeli forces are operating in southern Lebanon, the military said.

According to the IDF spokesperson, the results of the interception are under review. No sirens were activated, in line with policy.

This is the second incident reported in the northern sector in recent days. On Saturday evening, sirens sounded in the Arab al-Aramshe area following suspicion of hostile aircraft infiltration. The IDF said lookouts identified an unidentified aerial object in the border area with Lebanon, and that "IDF forces are continuing searches in the area. So far, no unusual findings have been located. There are no special instructions for the home front."
