Israeli defense and security establishments have identified a significant acceleration in American force deployment across the Middle East, a buildup expected to reach full operational capacity within just a few days and potentially enable Washington to launch an extensive military operation against Iran if the decision is made. The development has prompted the IDF to sustain an exceptionally high state of alert, operating under the assumption that the United States is approaching a critical point of decision and that all scenarios remain actively considered.

In recent days the US military has intensified its regional presence following the earlier movement of aircraft carriers. Additional fighter jets and aerial refueling aircraft have deployed to the theater, while transport planes have delivered Patriot missile batteries to protect American bases and assets in the Gulf. According to assessments, this air and naval reinforcement effort is projected to conclude within approximately five to six days, granting the US the ability to conduct large-scale operations rather than limited strikes.

Within Israel the Prime Minister convened a security discussion with select ministers and the top echelon of the defense establishment to review possible scenarios and coordinate national preparedness. The IDF continues to bolster its air defense array and enhance offensive capabilities. On the evening of the latest reports three new F-35I Adir stealth fighters landed at Nevatim Airbase, further strengthening Israel's multilayered defense posture amid the uncertainty.

Coordination between the two allies remains intensive. Chief of the General Staff Lt. Gen. Eyal Zamir held several conversations over the past week with CENTCOM commander Adm. Brad Cooper, focusing on synchronization ahead of any forthcoming developments. Security officials in Jerusalem evaluate the coming days as pivotal for Washington's final deliberations, with the understanding that completion of the current force posture would place a credible offensive option firmly within reach.

The heightened activity occurs against the backdrop of prolonged tensions with Iran, including its internal unrest, proxy activities across the region, and repeated threats of retaliation. Israel maintains that any American action would carry direct implications for its own security environment, particularly regarding potential Iranian missile or drone responses targeting Israeli territory or interests. The IDF's continuous high readiness reflects both defensive vigilance and close alignment with US planning to ensure seamless cooperation should events escalate.
