In a candid interview with ABC to promote her upcoming action film Snow White, Gadot shared the details of the life-threatening incident and how it unfolded.

In December, Gadot revealed that during her eighth month of pregnancy, she began experiencing intense headaches that lasted for three weeks. “I couldn’t do anything. I had to be in the dark, couldn’t hear anything, and I felt like my head was going to explode,” Gadot recalled. Despite consulting several neurologists, the headaches were initially diagnosed as severe migraines, and no further action was taken.

However, Gadot credits her mother with pushing her to get further checked. “I talk to my mom a million times a day. After three weeks of me suffering, she told my husband, ‘Enough. She needs to be checked. Get an MRI.’ That was February 5th last year – the rainiest day in Los Angeles. Schools were closed, and the world felt like it was ending. I wanted to put it off, but my mom insisted, saying, ‘Go now.’”

Upon arriving at the hospital, Gadot underwent immediate tests and was found to have a serious blood clot in her brain. “They delivered my baby within hours and I underwent surgery. Now I’m okay, but if I had known sooner, it would’ve been much easier,” Gadot said, expressing her relief.

Despite the overwhelming experience, Gadot emphasized her gratitude for her life and urged others to get checked if they suspect something might be wrong. “I’m still so thankful to be alive, and I’m grateful for everything. But please, get checked,” the actress urged.
