Coldplay has announced changes to two of its upcoming London shows at Wembley Stadium due to a planned London Underground strike next week. The schedule shift has left fans around the world, including many from Israel, with tickets to shows they can no longer attend.
“We’re sorry to announce that due to a planned strike, we’ve had to reschedule the final two shows of our current Wembley run,” the band wrote on its official Instagram account.
The show originally scheduled for September 6 will now take place on September 5, while the September 7 concert has been moved to September 12. The band explained that without Underground service, safely transporting 82,000 attendees to and from the stadium would be impossible.
“We apologize for the disappointment, frustration, and unavoidable inconvenience this situation causes,” Coldplay added. Tickets purchased for the original dates remain valid for the new shows, and fans unable to attend the rescheduled concerts can request a full refund.
