Israeli singer Eyal Golan announces new concert dates at Yarkon Park following security-related postponement. Five shows scheduled for October-November amid venue controversy.
Israeli singer Eyal Golan is expected to soon announce the new dates and venue for his concerts that were postponed in the wake of the Iranian attack.
Originally set to take place at Bloomfield Stadium, the performances were delayed due to regional security concerns. According to the latest informations, Golan will move the shows to Yarkon Park in Tel Aviv, with five performances scheduled across late October and early November: October 25 and 27, and November 3, 4, and 5.
The decision follows recent controversy surrounding Golan’s planned performances. The municipality of Ramat Gan had previously barred the artist from performing at Ramat Gan Stadium. Mayor Carmel Shama-Hacohen celebrated the court’s rejection of Golan’s petition to reverse the decision, writing on Facebook:
“Justice prevailed! The court rejected Eyal Golan’s petition. How did we win when everyone said we’d lose? Simply: spin and lies can be sold to friendly reporters and on social media, but not to an experienced district judge.”
The issue has stirred significant public debate. Prominent publicist Rani Rahav responded critically to the ban, saying:
“There hasn't been such discrimination since the founding of the state. One singer is allowed to perform and another isn’t? Is the stadium your father’s? Your mother’s? The stadium belongs to the residents of Ramat Gan, residents of the State of Israel. What’s going on here?”
Despite the controversy, fans of Eyal Golan can now look forward to a new series of performances, as he prepares to return to the stage later this year.
