Schneider Children’s Medical Center provided an update today regarding several pediatric patients treated following recent missile strikes in central and southern Israel.

Critical condition of seven-year-old from Arad

A seven-year-old girl, who was seriously injured three days ago during a strike in Arad, was transferred overnight from Soroka Medical Center to Schneider.

The child is currently hospitalized in the pediatric intensive care unit, where she is sedated and ventilated. According to hospital officials, she suffered blast injuries and extensive internal damage caused by glass shards. A multidisciplinary surgical team is performing complex interventions to address her injuries. Her condition remains critical.

Discharges and ongoing observation

The hospital also confirmed the status of children evacuated following Tuesday's strikes in Bnei Brak and Petah Tikva:

  • General Discharges: Most children evacuated from the central region were released to their homes this morning after receiving medical examinations and treatment.
  • Toddler Hospitalized: An 18-month-old girl remains hospitalized for observation in the surgical department. She sustained a hand injury caused by a blast and is currently listed in light condition.
