The ship carrying climate and progressive activist Greta Thunberg and 12 other activists, along with a small amount of humanitarian aid, is set to be within Gazan and Israeli territorial waters within a few hours tonight (Sunday/Monday). According to recent reports, they have slowed down their speed.

The Israeli defense establishment decided that it will not allow Thunberg to enter the Gaza Strip, as doing so would encourage a "flood" of ships to try and come in to break the Israeli blockade of the Strip.

As such, Shayetet special naval forces are prepared to board the ship and take it over in an "unviolent" manner, with the understanding that the takeover will be broadcast around the world. The activists will then be detained, taken to the naval base in Ashdod, and sent back home where they came from. The Shayetet force has already practiced on a yacht of similar size to ensure the boarding goes smoothly.
