Chief of Staff Orders Immediate Restrictions

In light of the severe weather forecast, which includes extreme cold, heavy rainfall, and the significant threat of flooding, the Chief of Staff, Major General Eyal Zamir, has ordered the immediate implementation of heightened safety guidelines and restrictions across all IDF units.

The new directives, which took effect this evening at 5:00 PM, will remain in force until Friday morning at 6:00 AM, subject to continuous situational assessments by the Operations Directorate and the Ground Forces Command.

Total Halt to Training and Exit Curfew

The new restrictions indicate a deep level of concern from the military command regarding the safety of soldiers during the storm’s peak:

General Zamir’s decision to adopt "extra caution" regarding the severe weather is a preventative measure against accidents and weather-related incidents that could endanger soldiers in the extreme conditions, particularly the high risk of flash floods and urban flooding expected across Thursday.

The military's response highlights the extraordinary nature of the impending weather system and the need for all sectors of the state to prioritize safety and disaster prevention during the storm’s peak tomorrow.
