Joint Statement by Defense Minister Israel Katz and Coalition Chairman Ofir Katz:

This morning (Wednesday), a confidential status discussion was held in the Knesset Committee with the participation of Defense Minister Israel Katz and Interior Minister Moshe Arbel. The discussion focused on monitoring the implementation of Coalition Chairman Ofir Katz’s law to revoke the citizenship and deport Israeli terrorists who receive payments from the Palestinian Authority.

After a delay of over two years in the necessary staff work to implement the law, Defense Minister Israel Katz this week instructed relevant defense establishment bodies to provide the required information to the Interior Minister for the law’s immediate execution and the revocation of citizenship.

Currently, several Israeli citizens who received terror payments from the Palestinian Authority are in the process of deportation, with proceedings expected to begin soon against hundreds more.

Defense Minister Israel Katz said, “I am leading a firm and clear policy: terrorists and terror supporters, whether residents or citizens of Israel, will receive no rewards for their actions. Those who choose murder and hatred will be deported, their citizenship revoked, and they will pay the full price. We will continue to act with an iron fist and will not allow terrorists to sit comfortably here, we will pursue them at home and abroad. I thank the Coalition Chairman and the Interior Minister for their cooperation.”

Coalition Chairman Ofir Katz added, “After over two years of pushing and chasing the defense establishment to implement my law, it’s finally happening. Terrorists will be deported from Israel! This is a historic event. I thank Defense Minister Katz and Interior Minister Arbel for their willingness and assistance in advancing the process. In the war on terror, there are no compromises.”
