Palestinian sources speaking to Kann News today (Wednesday) believe that the new Witkoff proposal will effectively give up on any provision for ending the war, a condition Hamas has fought for from the start.
According to Elior Levi, head of Palestinian affairs for Kann News, Hamas did not actually accept the Witkoff proposal as actually laid down, and that they believe the new proposal, which Witkoff announced today at a press conference with President Trump, will effectively give up on the idea of a permanent end to the war, a demand Hamas has pressed for since the war started.
