Today (Friday), Chief of Staff Lt. Gen. Herzi Halevi held a situation assessment and tour with the Northern Command Commander, Maj. Gen. Uri Gordin, the Commander of Division 210, Brig. Gen. Yair Plali, and other commanders. The division commanders presented the updated deployment on the border, including offensive and defensive actions such as reinforcing the engineering barrier and collection components.

"The IDF is highly focused on fighting Hezbollah," said Halevi. "I believe the number of strikes in the past month, the militants killed, rockets destroyed, and infrastructure dismantled is very high." He added, "The Northern Command, with all the capabilities of the IDF, attacks within Lebanon much of Hezbollah's capabilities before they can attack us, and simultaneously we are preparing for offensive moves within the area. I think this combination of very significant strikes on Hezbollah, to reduce the threats to residents in the north, including the Golan Heights, is very significant, and we are extensively preparing for forward attacks."
