US President Donald Trump eulogized Pope Francis, who passed away at the age of 88: "May God bless him and all who loved him."

US President Donald Trump today (Monday) eulogized Pope Francis, who passed away at the age of 88. In a brief post on his social media platform Truth Social, Trump wrote: "Rest in peace, Pope Francis. May God bless him and all who loved him."
Meanwhile, US Secretary of State Marco Rubio said, "The day after Easter, my wife Janet and I were saddened to hear of Pope Francis's death. We unite in prayer with Catholics around the world for the peaceful rest of his soul and for this transitional period for the Church. May his memory be blessed."
Earlier today, Israeli President Isaac Herzog eulogized the Pope. "I extend my deepest condolences to Christian citizens of Israel, to Christian communities in the Holy Land, and to the entire Christian world, on the loss of their great spiritual father, Pope Francis," Herzog said. "He was a man of immense faith and great compassion, who dedicated his life to advancing the world's poor and calling for peace in a complex and turbulent era. He rightly placed great importance on cultivating strong ties with the Jewish world and promoting interfaith dialogue as a path to mutual understanding and respect."
"I hope that his prayers for peace in the Middle East and for the return of the hostages will be answered soon," the President added. "May his memory continue to inspire acts of kindness, unity, and hope."
