Scene of the incident

Magen David Adom updated the casualty count from the explosion that occurred today (Monday) during the annual hike on Ramim Ridge in the Upper Galilee: 24 boys were injured. According to the report, one boy was killed in the blast, three were critically wounded, ten moderately wounded, and ten lightly wounded.

MDA teams called to the scene provided medical treatment to the casualties, who were evacuated for further treatment to Rambam Hospital in Haifa and Ziv Medical Center in Tzfat.

The updated count represents a revision from earlier reports from the scene, which had given a lower number of wounded. According to MDA's current figures, ten of the wounded are now classified as moderate.

Resilience teams called in: "Waiting for the rest of the group"

United Hatzalah reported that the organization's resilience teams, which specialize in emergency and psychological support, provided initial treatment to several anxiety victims at the scene.

At the same time, the teams are preparing for the arrival of the rest of the group at the assembly point, where support is expected to be provided to students, teachers and parents who need assistance.

Shirel Levi, a resilience volunteer with United Hatzalah, described the preparations in the field and the coordination with the Maalot municipality.

"We are waiting at the assembly point for the rest of the group. We are working in coordination with the Maalot municipality. United Hatzalah's medic and resilience teams are ready to assist students, teachers and parents, anyone who needs it."

Treatment continues after the incident

United Hatzalah's statement addresses not only the wounded who were evacuated for medical treatment, but also the need for psychological support for those present at the incident and their family members.

The medic and resilience teams continue to prepare at the assembly point, with the aim of providing assistance to group members upon their arrival and offering initial support to those who need it.

According to the organization's summary, the count of casualties treated by its teams includes one fatality, three critically wounded, and approximately ten lightly to moderately wounded. In addition, several anxiety victims received initial psychological support.
