Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu used his interview with Fox News host Mark Levin, which he shared on X on Monday, to attack his rivals in Israel's upcoming election and to warn Europe that it is also in Iran's sights.
Speaking on "Life, Liberty & Levin," which aired Saturday night, Netanyahu said his opponents' vision for Israel is a closed economy, censorship and slower growth, including interference in social media. He compared it to what he described as current trends in Britain.
Netanyahu also described Iran's regional proxies as tentacles of the same "poisonous octopus." He said Hezbollah, Hamas and the Houthis all serve the ayatollahs in Tehran. "You're the great Satan. We're the little Satan," he told his American audience, adding that Europe sits somewhere in between and is also a target. He warned that Iran is developing intercontinental ballistic missiles capable of reaching the United States and intends to fit them with nuclear warheads.
Defending Israel's conduct in Gaza, Netanyahu said Hamas used residential neighborhoods and hospitals for military purposes while preventing residents from leaving combat zones, which he said is how civilian casualties occurred. In clips released by Fox, he also rejected claims that Israelis live on stolen land, saying Jews are the indigenous people of the land, and dismissed accusations of genocide by asking what genocidal country sends food to its enemy.
Asked what he wants to achieve in the last two years of President Donald Trump's term, Netanyahu said: "Achieve the complete elimination of the Iranian threat to Israel and to America and to the world." He praised Trump's "brilliant leadership," citing both the military campaign and the economic blockade.
Netanyahu said that his partnership with Trump could continue to bring security and peace if he wins the October 27 election.
