Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei has released an eight-minute video compilation titled “God Is Enough,” urging citizens not to fear amid growing concerns of a potential U.S. military strike. The video, shared by Khamenei's office on January 28, features excerpts from his past speeches emphasizing resilience and stating there is “no need to panic.”

The release coincides with heightened U.S.-Iran tensions under President Donald Trump, who posted on Truth Social on January 28 that a “massive Armada,” led by the USS Abraham Lincoln, is en route to Iran and prepared for action “with speed and violence, if necessary.” Trump demanded Iran agree to a deal with “NO NUCLEAR WEAPONS,” including halting uranium enrichment, curbing ballistic missiles, and ending support for groups like Hamas, Hezbollah, and the Houthis. He referenced prior U.S. strikes on Iranian nuclear sites in June 2025, warning that any future response “will be far worse.”

Iranian officials have responded defiantly. Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi stated that Iran's forces are prepared to deliver an “immediate and powerful” counterstrike if attacked. Ali Shamkhani, a senior adviser to Khamenei, warned of an “immediate, comprehensive and unprecedented” retaliation targeting the U.S., “the heart of Tel Aviv,” and its allies. Iran's mission to the United Nations expressed openness to dialogue but affirmed readiness to defend against aggression.
