New York Landmarks Illuminated Hamas Green for Inaugural "Muslim American Heritage Month"
Is Zohran Mamdani clueless or is he evil? And why is he in such a rush to shove Muslim contributions in our faces? Pray for New York.

New York Governor Kathy Hochul has declared January as Muslim American Heritage Month for the first time in state history, directing 16 landmarks, including One World Trade Center, to be lit green on Friday evening in celebration of the contributions of Muslim Americans.
The move, announced via a proclamation, highlights the "resilience, compassion, and contributions" of Muslim communities in strengthening the state.
The illumination included prominent sites like the Governor Mario M. Cuomo Bridge, Kosciuszko Bridge, and the H. Carl McCall SUNY Building, alongside One World Trade Center—also known as the Freedom Tower, built on the site of the original World Trade Center destroyed in the September 11, 2001, terrorist attacks.
New York City Hall also joined in, glowing green in 'solidarity'. This comes one day after Zohran Mamdani, New York City's first Muslim mayor, was sworn into office.
The decision has sparked significant controversy online, particularly from conservative commentator Laura Loomer, who described it as a "massive slap in the face to the victims of 9/11" and claimed the green lighting matches the color of the Hamas flag, accusing Hochul and Mamdani of "Islamifying" the state.
Her post has been echoed by others expressing outrage over the symbolism at the 9/11 site.
Critics on social media have called it disgusting and a sign of short memories regarding the attacks perpetrated by al-Qaeda.
Green is a traditional color in Islam, symbolizing paradise and life, and is used in many Islamic flags and observances, though the specific association with Hamas is concerning and has not gone unnoticed.
Hochul's office has not directly addressed the criticism,
