The "Freedom Kick": Netanyahu's Head Used as a Soccer Ball in UN Protest
Anarchist group INDECLINE claims responsibility for projecting controversial footage onto UN headquarters showing protest against Israeli PM Netanyahu through symbolic soccer game.

A U.S.-based anarchist group has claimed responsibility for projecting a video onto the United Nations Headquarters in New York City that shows activists playing a game of soccer with a mock-up of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s head.
The group, known as INDECLINE, recorded the protest video earlier this month on a field near the UN building to demonstrate against the ongoing war in Gaza. The video, titled "The Freedom Kick," features activists kicking a silicone replica of Netanyahu's head set to a punk rock soundtrack.
The group later released a second video showing the footage projected onto the side of the UN building. The authenticity of this projection has not been independently verified yet.
INDECLINE is known for similar acts of protest, including stunts using mock heads of other public figures like President Donald Trump.
This recent incident is not the first time guerrilla activists have used the UN building as a canvas for their messages. In September 2023, Israeli activists opposed to the government's judicial overhaul projected the message, “Don’t believe crime minister Netanyahu,” onto the building. Weeks later, following the October 2023 invasion of Israel, the same group projected images of Israeli hostages to call for their release.
