Lod police officers have now started an investigation and operational scans, upon receiving a report of a shooting incident in the city, following which a 40-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene by medical officials.
160 Arabs lost their lives in 2023 in circumstances related to violence and crime, of which 151 were citizens, 9 non-citizens. In the same period last year there were 72 victims.
