Worrying Trend: Record Number of Nile Fever Cases in Central Israel

The number of Nile fever patients in central Israel continues to rise, reaching a peak of one hundred diagnosed cases, with at least 8 in critical condition requiring ventilation.

Health ministry officials updated that as of today (Sunday), at least 100 citizens have been diagnosed with West Nile fever, 8 of whom are hospitalized and on ventilators.

The quantity of West Nile fever cases in the central region continues to grow, with today's announcement from the health ministry marking a record number of one hundred diagnosed patients.

Furthermore, out of the hundred, it was further updated that 8 patients are hospitalized in intensive care units and are in critical condition requiring ventilation. 7 people have also died from the infectious virus. The health ministry also emphasizes that the disease remains concentrated mostly in the Sharon and central Israel regions, but cases have begun to emerge in the Sharon area as well, with several residents also hospitalized at Meir Medical Centre in Kfar Saba.
