Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg became the target of widespread mockery on social media following a video in which he appeared to struggle with a glass of Guinness, reacting with unusual facial expressions.
The footage was recorded during his appearance on a podcast hosted by John Collison, co-founder of Stripe, alongside Meta's AI chief Alexander Wang. Zuckerberg had brought a keg of beer from Dublin, but when he tasted it, viewers noticed him grimacing, swirling the glass as if it were wine, and then holding it at arm's length.
"Even robots can't handle a real beer," one user joked. Another wrote: "Mark Zuckerberg pretending to enjoy Guinness is my favorite thing right now." A third wondered: "Zuckerberg makes people question his humanity. He pretends to enjoy it and then pushes the glass as far away as possible. Has he never drunk beer before?"
The video drew particular attention against the backdrop of reports that Zuckerberg and his wife Priscilla Chan recently purchased a castle in Ireland spanning approximately 4,400 acres, valued at between 20 and 30 million euros.
