15-Year-Old Stabs Teen in Elad Pizza Shop, Is Arrested and Detained

A 15-year-old boy from the city of Elad was arrested last night (Wednesday) on suspicion of stabbing a 17-year-old boy during an altercation inside a pizza shop. According to Israel Police, the victim sustained moderate injuries and was rushed to Beilinson Medical Center in Petah Tikva for treatment.

Police officers from the Central District were dispatched to the scene following an emergency report of a stabbing. After launching a search for the attacker, officers, together with forensic and tech investigators, managed to locate and arrest the suspect within a short time.

The assailant, a minor and resident of Elad, was taken in for questioning and subsequently placed in detention, police confirmed. Investigators have not yet released further details on the motive or the circumstances leading to the attack.

This morning, police are expected to request an extension of the suspect’s detention during a hearing at the local magistrate’s court.

The incident has shocked the tight-knit religious community of Elad, where such violent events are rare. Police say the investigation is ongoing.
