Maya Wertheimer's Shocking Confession: "Earthquake" Marriage Crisis with Hubby Asaf Zamir

While promoting the show's fresh season kicking off tomorrow on Channel 13, Maya opened up on Suissa + 1 about a heart-wrenching "earthquake" moment with husband Asaf Zamir that shook their world during wartime terror.

In a raw, no-holds-barred chat, TV matchmaker Maya Wertheimer, yes, the one dishing out romance advice on Channel 13's New Love (Ahava Chadasha), just dropped some concerning news about her own love life hitting rock bottom.

These are some of the highlights from her interview.

From Riches to Real Talk: Maya's "Burned" Past and Wealth Woes

Maya, daughter of billionaire Stef Wertheimer, kicked things off with a rule: She only sits for interviews when there's something to plug, like her hit dating show. Why? "I've been burned before," she confessed. Back in her younger days, chats always zeroed in on her family's fortune, ignoring her grind. "They raised me tough, two military parents, German discipline. We worked from a super young age to avoid being spoiled brats."

But oh, the backlash! Maya recalled spilling her hard-work stories only to get mocked: "People were like, 'Oh poor you, you had to work?' It was insulting because I worked hard as a teen and adult." She even turns hate into family fun, reading nasty comments over Friday dinner, from "Why does she look like yellow cheese?" to wild wedding rumors. "We laugh it off," she said, adding a zen vibe: "I look at trolls with compassion, they're just dumping their own misery."

Why does money trigger Israelis so much?

"It's like a influencer whining about a tough day, people snap, 'Shut up, you live the dream!' But hey, I worked like everyone else. Pass the tissues?"

Instagram Empire: Not Just Cash, It's a "Mission"

Don't call her a sellout, Maya's Insta game (her main gig) is all about "adding value," not stacking cash. "It sounds dumb, but I don't feel like I'm working. I'm inspired by my family, Dad, Grandpa, Mom, they've given so much to Israel." Sure, she turns down half-a-mil offers for shady products, but she'll hype small Israeli brands for peanuts. "I can't live with myself if someone buys on my recommendation and regrets it. Integrity over everything, it's karma!"

Does she have regrets?

A few partnerships where she felt duped on deals. "They promised the best discount for my followers, then I find out it's cheaper elsewhere. Not cool, I won't look like a fool." And no, she's not undercutting other influencers: "I want everyone to get the deal. The consumer wins!"

Friendship Fallout: The Painful Split from Ma'ayan Adam

Things got real personal when talk turned to ex-BFF Ma'ayan Adam. "We're not friends anymore. At all," Maya admitted. She showed up for Ma'ayan's sister's funeral and shiva, and swears she'd be there if needed, but the bond's broken. "I was hurt. She was a good friend, part of my life. It sucks."

Tried patching it up? "Not really. If you get burned once, talk it out, then again... maybe that's just who they are." Spot her on the street? "I'd say hi, but it'd be awkward, heart pounding." Maya still follows (on mute) and peeks occasionally: "Unfollowing's dumb, just more headlines. She's not an ex; she's a good person, great mom. Life's gray, not black and white."

Kid Drama: Screens, Strangers, and Superfan Pages

Mom life with kids Asia (almost 6) and Noah (1-ish) isn't all filters. Asia's starting to pose for pics, but Maya's strict: No phone till 16 (wishful thinking). "I'd love Asaf to ban it city-wide in Tel Aviv!" Grandmas sneak screen time, like bingeing Emily in Paris on vacation. "Mom watched Asia while I worked [and I] came back to that!"

Creepy fan encounters?

Maya begged fans not to approach Asia: "Say hi to us parents, but leave the kid be." A fan page for her daughter with mega-followers freaked her out: "They reposted every story. I asked them to shut it down, it's prime social real estate, but not for her."

Noah? "He's a gift, looks just like my late dad."

Post-baby blues hit hard after Asia: "COVID isolation, Asaf in government, I was alone, crying, not sleeping. Everyone said motherhood's amazing; I thought, 'No?' A Tipat Halav nurse flagged it as borderline depression. 'Who isn't crying these days?'"

Marriage Meltdown: Shelter Shocker with Asaf

The bombshell? Their couple's therapy amid dueling careers and parenting.

"Building empires while raising kids? Brutal."

Fights piled up and they peaking during war: "In the shelter during Operation Rising Lion , everything shook. I panicked [and I said] 'I'm not staying with the kids!' He said, 'Do what you want, I'm not leaving.' It was an earthquake in our relationship."

Divorce vibes? "No, but I hit my limit."

Prenup? "Absolutely, it's family tradition. It hurts to discuss [it and it] feels like distrust, but it's for the kids."

House hunting? On Yad2, natch. "We rent now, no exit cash here, just good pay."

New Love Tease: Chaos, Romance, and Real Belief

Wrapping up on a high: New Love returns with "total madness, real love brewing." Maya's all in: "I'm naive, I truly believe they're there for love."
