The Modzitz Rebbe was hospitalized on Rosh Hashanah night after feeling unwell at his home. The Rebbe requested not to be evacuated to Sheba Medical Center, and was instead transferred to Mayanei HaYeshua Hospital in Bnei Brak.
On Rosh Hashanah morning, following extended consultation with physicians who wanted to conduct a series of urgent tests at the hospital, the Rebbe insisted on walking approximately ten minutes to the beit midrash to be with his Hasidim. During the prayers, he approached the Aron Kodesh as usual and led the Mussaf service, following the custom of Hasidic rebbes.
Immediately after the conclusion of the holiday, the Rebbe was hospitalized again at the medical center. This morning, he successfully underwent a cardiac catheterization procedure.
