Margi's brother

Social media personality Chani Margi turned to her followers over the weekend with a painful request: to daven for her brother, who was critically injured in a car accident on Friday afternoon, just an hour before Shabbos.

Margi, who has a large following on Instagram, wrote in a post Motzei Shabbos: "Good week, good news. My dear brother was in a serious car accident on Friday, an hour before Shabbos. We need the prayers of all of Klal Yisrael. Dovid ben Nurit."

She described the chaotic moments before candle-lighting, when the family learned that the accident involved their brother. "After a surreal Shabbos in the hospital, who dreamed, who imagined," she wrote. "An hour before Shabbos to understand that the accident is connected to us, without thinking too much, just to be there all of us with sefarim of Tehillim, davening for a miracle."

Hours later, Margi posted an update on her brother's condition and thanked the public for the outpouring of tefillos. Though he has not yet regained full consciousness and is suffering from serious injuries, the family is seeing Hashem's kindness at every turn, she said, with encouraging reports from the hospital.

"Thank you for your tefillos. Baruch Hashem there are open miracles every moment and every test. Hashem is with us, we feel it!" Margi wrote. "He is not yet in full consciousness, but chasdei Hashem, the head is okay, and that is a huge miracle in itself. He is suffering from serious injuries to the body and face."

Despite the fear, Margi expressed bitachon in her brother's recovery: "But Hashem loves him, I am sure. He is a true tzaddik and he will come out of this! Amen!"

At the end of her message, Margi again asked the public to continue davening for her brother's refuah, in the hope that he will recover from his injuries and return to full health soon.

The public is asked to continue davening for the refuah of Dovid ben Nurit, l'refuah shleimah b'soch she'ar cholei Yisrael.
