U.S. and Israel moving toward joint military campaign against Iran, American officials say

The United States and Israel are heading toward a joint military campaign against Iran, with an attack considered a matter of when, not if, according to American officials. President Trump is very close to escalating military action against Iran and, despite ruling out an attack tonight, has left the door open for strikes in the coming days. The planned operation is expected to extend beyond strikes on Iran's nuclear and missile programs, targeting ports and other facilities with the aim of destabilizing the regime, though overthrowing it may not be an objective.
